Terms of use

1. Who we are

This website is published by [LEGAL NAME OF THE ORGANISATION] (“Democratic Society”, “we”), a non-profit organisation registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], [REGISTRATION NUMBER].

2. A website under construction

This is a preview of our new website. Some sections are incomplete or may change without notice. We do our best to keep the information accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every page is complete or up to date at all times.

3. Use of the content

Unless stated otherwise, texts, images and design on this site belong to Democratic Society or are used with permission. You may read, share and link to our pages. Resources in our Resource Centre may carry their own licence; where one is stated, that licence applies. Please do not reuse our logo or present our content as your own.

4. Acceptable use

Please use the contact and newsletter forms only for genuine messages and your own email address. Do not try to disrupt the site, access areas that are not public, or send automated or abusive submissions. We may block submissions that look like spam.

5. Links to other websites

Some pages link to external websites, such as partners or project sites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Following such a link takes you off our servers.

6. Liability

The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from the use of this website or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY OF REGISTRATION].

Privacy policy

In short: we only collect what you type into our forms, we keep it on our own server in the European Union, we use it only to reply to you or to send you the newsletter you asked for, and we never sell or share it. We do not track you.

Where your data is stored

Everything — the website files, the forms and the data you send us — runs on our own server operated by Gandi SAS, a French hosting provider, in a data centre located in the European Union. Your data is not transferred outside the EU. The only people with access are the Democratic Society staff who manage the site and reply to messages.
